InfoMatrix an Official Supplier to the OceanPlanet solo around the world sailing campaign

Cameron Park, CA November 12th, 2001

InfoMatrix, a California-based strategic consulting firm specializing in enterprise software development and convergence technologies, announces its participation in the OceanPlanet sailing campaign. OceanPlanet, an Open 60 class racing yacht, is preparing for the Around Alone and Vendee ocean races occurring this year and in 2004.

OceanPlanet is a revolutionary racing yacht that has been designed and built as a grass-roots West Coast effort. The yacht will be skippered by Bruce Schwab, a noted solo sailor from the Bay Area. OceanPlanet is owned and operated by the Made in America Foundation. This campaign, in addition to providing the only 100% US entry in the upcoming solo around the world races, also stresses youth involvement in sailboat racing and focuses attention on the ocean environment.

InfoMatrix has developed software that aids in processing donations to the Foundation and has provided direct donations to help prepare the campaign for the races ahead. Additionally, Eric Jungemann, an InfoMatrix General Partner, is a Board Member of Made In America.

"We are pleased to be involved in the OceanPlanet campaign and to donate software, equipment, funds and our time to this worthy effort" said Eric Jungemann, InfoMatrix General Partner. "We believe that an American entry in the two solo around the world sailing races will serve to highlight the yacht design and building capabilities of the West Coast" added Eric.
